PADMASHALI OFFICIALS & PROFESSIONALS ASSOCIATION (POPA)
AIMS & OBJECTS OF THE ASSOCIATION
- To promote intellectual, cultural and social activities among the Community members.
- To work and strive for the well being of its members
- To encourage fraternity and promote close contact amongst the members.
- To update the latest developments of the members
- To render guidance, service and counseling in education, service and employment aspects
- To establish liaison/co-ordination and close contact with other State level Padmashali Organizations/Societies/Trusts/Bodies.
- To provide opportunities to the members to exhibit their talents and
- To do all such other lawful things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objectives of the Association.
- To develop think tank of the community members for negotiating for a fair share in all areas.
PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION:
- Organizing periodical get-togethers to enable members to be of mutual help and service amongst themselves
- Organizing lectures by experts and specialties in various matters and different disciplines.
- Gathering and updating of the statistics of the Padmashali employees of State and Central Government Departments and Undertakings, Corporations, Co-operatives and local bodies, in private sector organizations and professionals, consultants in all disciplines.
- Promoting district level POPA organizations, wherever there are 100 or more officials/professionals and other eligible members.
- Establishing libraries, reading rooms, hostels, hospitals and educational Institutions.
- Co-operating with any Government or competent authorities of the State, local bodies and Municipalities in pursuance of the objectives of the Association. Helping the enterprises run by individuals or associations, which are in consonance with the objectives of the Association.
- Assisting and rendering relief to people in distress caused by various natural
calamities. - Organizing and conducting classes and get-togethers for the benefit and development of the members
- Offering scholarships to deserving Padmashali students and to run orphanages and destitute homes etc.
- Encouraging collective discussions and understandings amongst the members of the community
- Taking all steps which may be necessary for promoting, supporting or otherwise any legislative action any measures of the Government or any department there of, or of any local bodies for protecting or promoting the interests of the members.
